From the Pastor's Desk
Unfortunately, most who know me, know I love food. If I'm hungry for a good steak or a great dessert I'm going to get it. I'll drive to get it, buy it, fix it, whatever it takes. Maybe your desire is not food but a nice car or a beautiful piece of jewelry. Which by the way, there is nothing wrong with liking these things. You may scrimp, save and do whatever you need to obtain your desire. So let's ask ourselves a question "Do our actions show that we have a real hunger and desire for God?" Are we willing to do what it takes to be close to Him? The psalmist wrote in Psalms 84:2 "My soul longs, yes, even faints for the courts of the Lord: my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God." Does this sound like someone who's to tired to go to church or read their Bible? Not to me! This sounds like someone who is so hungry and so thirsty for God that they'll do whatever it takes to be close to Him. Friends, if we put more effort into dinner than our relationship with our Savior, then we're in trouble. If you truly love Him, your actions will show it.
