Colossians 1:9-10 (NKJV)
The Apostle Paul is speaking
9 For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; 10 that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God;
I don’t know about you but I lived life frustrated for many years. As most of us do I would go to church regularly, read my Bible and pray. I would try to do things for the Lord and it seemed like things didn’t always pan out well. I would pray and many times not see God move, what could be the problem? In our passage above it could misconstrued that all we need is an increase in knowledge but there is more to it than that. It’s not just knowledge of God’s word that we need but notice the words in verse 9 “Filled with the knowledge of His WILL in all wisdom and spiritual understanding.” It’s not about studying or praying all day long but it’s about seeking Him to the point that His will becomes your will. Why was I frustrated? To myself and maybe to others the things that I was doing may have seemed good but they were not God’s will. His will may not always come by studying but it may also be poured into us by revelation knowledge. In simple terms “God just gives us insight into a certain situation and how to handle it” He just pours it into you!"
Maybe you’re like I was, a little frustrated? Could it be that all you need is just a little more time seeking Him until His will becomes your will. Of course God wants us to increase in knowledge but not in knowledge alone, it’s in the knowledge of His will and being filled with spiritual understanding. Only He can do that!
I’m the Pastor and that’s my perspective
P.S. Grammatical errors are always guaranteed. Lol!!!!
